Failed to diagnose the problem and then held my car hostage

Took my daughters car to this shop for a new radiator, asked them to check the entire system for problems, when we picked up the car we asked again if they had checked everything. They stated "Yes, you are good to go" Two days later more problems with the cooling system, took it back they charged $60 to replace a hose. 2 days later problems again with the cooling system, took it back they wanted $400 more to fix more problems with the cooling system. I wanted to take the car to another shop, they held the car hostage until I paid them $96, it was never made clear what the $96 was for, it couldn't have been for diagnosis since that should have been covered the first two times. When the tech called me after I complained I asked him why he didn't explain what was going on with the car and he stated "I am not used to dealing with someone's Mom"
