After interviewing six contractors, we decided to go with Silverstar because of the sincerity and directness we felt Eli has. It turned out that it was the best decision to go with Eli of Silverstar. Our remodeling was done exactly as Eli promised, within budget and completed on time!
We give Silverstar Remodeling a 5 stars rating!
Our renovation was a complete makeover both inside and out of the house! Things that you see and things that you don’t behind the walls, inclusive of but not limited to removing of popcorn ceiling, removing of walls, reconfiguring and rebuilding of bathrooms, relocating washer/dryer with new plumbing and gas line, upgrading to copper plumbing throughout the entire house, eliminating water heater tank and replacing it with tank-less water heater, new furnace, new electric wiring, new insulation, new layout of bathrooms, new walk-in closet, new floor, new kitchen, new paint, new crown molding, replacements of all doors, etc. etc., we basically have a brand new house after the renovation!
With this kind of major work, everyone we knew who had prior renovation experience had told us that it would take at least 3 to 6 months to complete, that is if we were lucky. Some even said it might take at least 9 months to a year! Eli our contractor told us he could get us back in the house within 4 to 6 weeks from the day we moved out and they started demolition. Everyone I talked to said don’t believe him. Fortunately, Eli had proved them all wrong! We did move home as per scheduled after 6 weeks of devoted work. Of course there were minor touch ups on smaller stuffs that require Eli to send his guys back to do after we moved back in, but, overall Eli delivered as promised and most important of all, he didn’t just disappear after he was fully paid! When we had minor detailed work that required him to send his guys back, he did so as requested.
Not only were we happy with all the great work that were done for the house, we also appreciated Eli’s great input and professional opinion which helped us in a few major decisions! There were time when we weren’t sure about our choices, e.g. color selection for the kitchen counter and the type of stones, Eli knew that we were going after the contemporary style, so he gave his professional opinion of what would get us there and we love what we ended up with! Also, originally, we wanted to move the washer/dryer to the garage and Eli advised against it because we have two young children and he thought it was more convenient to keep the washer/dryer in the house. We are really glad we took his advice and are even more grateful during cold wintery nights when we have to do laundry!!
Eli leads a very strong team who work tirelessly and always with a pleasant and positive attitude. It makes the process a lot easier for me since I traveled quite a bit for work during the renovation and Eli managed everything for us and delivered to our full satisfaction!
Renovation is a scary experience. Everyone has an opinion to offer about how horrible contractors can be. I am really glad to report that Eli of Silverstar Remodeling has proven everyone wrong and that we cannot be happier with the results!
