Starr Law Group (Stuart J Starr) Pompano Beach FL does mortgage rescue scams

First look at the BBB review of Starr Law Group. Even with a very favorable rating, the BBB writes that "Our file contains a pattern of complaints from consumers alleging that Starr Law Group is unsuccessful in negotiating a loan modification the company
has promised to consumers." The Starr Law Group told one of my clients to stop paying her mortgage and instead send the money to the Starr Law Group. Starr Law Group said they would pay the mortgage for her. Of course, the lender never heard or Starr Law Group
nor did Starr Law Group make any payments to my client's lender. Since she did what they told her to do, she is 3 months in arrears and her lender is foreclosing. She is getting help trying to stop the foreclosure but Starr Law Group's damage is done. Anyone
looking for a mortgage loan modification should first contact their lender and look for a local community organization that assists in getting mortgage modifications at no charge to the client. I am filing complaints with all appropriate agencies and the Florida
Bar.
