Review 1/16/2011
I have bad credit. But I also needed a car not anything fancy, no mercedes or jaguar but a boring basic car. I began to have problems immediately. First it was the fan, then the electrical system, then the brakes, then the sunroof. The list continues but I'll stop there. I talked with the mechanic, nice guy, assured me "I'll take care of it." Foolishly, I did not not get it in writing. I left my vehicle numerous times and each time before driving off the same problem appeared and I would say "Hey, its not fixed." To which the mechanic would reply, "I am waiting for a part" or "I don't have time I have other cars." Really?! Yet he would call me to pick up my car each time and never made the above statements until I either did not leave the repair station itself, or actually turned around after driving for one mile and the lights or noise appeared again. Next was the issue of the interest rate. Orally I was told something different than the astronomical rate written into my contract. I was under the false belief that if a consumer asked the salesperson directly, CA required the agent to actually rely the figures. Not the case. So would-be customers please beware and do the research, get the "guaranteed" repairs in writing, and read the contract before signing the dotted line. Recently my sunroof was leaking with actual puddles being left in both my driver and passenger seats. I took my car to a reputable repair center. He hooked my car up to the computer diagnostic machine. His first question was "have you been in an accident," my response "no, why?" he says "this car has front end damage and looks like its been in an accident, you need several major repairs." He urged me to take the car back, but that's not an option as my car is almost paid off. The financing for "bad credit applicants" sounds great but in the end I was left despondent with my basic car and the amount I paid for it.
