From almost two decades of field research on street dogs and free-roaming dogs in developing countries, we have referred to an extensive range of data to help us develop our model of care – now commonly used, and called Canine Enrichment. We have the dogs in our care socialize and interact in diverse groups of mixed breeds, ages, and sizes. We give our dogs our attention in an intentional way, by interacting with them with purpose to develop – first and foremost – a close human-dog relationship
